How to Use Calendar Notifications

Modified on Sat, 21 Aug 2021 at 10:52 PM

Keeping up with all your TV shows and movies is tough work. Calendar notifications to the rescue! As a VIP member, receive daily and weekly calendar emails in your inbox, on the day and time you want. With our iCal feeds, you can get alarms a few minutes before each episode airs.

Email notifications.

Each email is divided by day and includes all episodes or movies airing that day. Series and season premieres are indicated with a green banner and the episode titles respect your spoiler settings. Each poster is linked to the specific episode or movie on Trakt. The email is formatted for desktop and mobile in any modern email client.

Email only what you want.

There are separate settings for each type of personal calendar notification including all TV shows, premieres, new shows, movies, and dvd & blu-ray. You can also get notifications for a few global calendars like premieres, new shows, and dvd & blu-ray. The columns on the right enable weekly and daily emails. Clicking a box displays additional settings to choose the day of the week (weekly only) and time you’d like to receive the emails.

Mobile calendar and IFTTT RSS feeds.

Calendar feeds (in iCal and RSS formats) include your own TV shows, premieres, new shows, movies, and dvd & blu-ray plus global feeds for premieres, new shows, and dvd & blu-ray.  Any hidden shows from the website will also be hidden from your calendar feeds. Watched items are indicated with ✓ in the title.

Calendar Alarms

If you’d like to receive an alarm before each episode airs, add &alarm=X to the end of any calendar iCal URL, where X is the number of minutes. Make sure you have enabled alarms in your calendar app.
