shows to move from tvdb to tmdb
(bandersnatch is special episode 2 on tvdb, but it's a separate movie https://trakt.tv/movies/black-mirror-bandersnatch-2018 also on tvdb by the way, but they don't bother to clean up their mess in tv.. )
(again tvdb has two movies listed in specials.. https://trakt.tv/search?query=Death+Note+Relight)
(added the episode titles from official YouTube stream added on tmdb)
(urgh, tvdb and their adding of episodes)
(added episode titles from Funimation on tmdb)
(added al wow presents plus info to tmdb)
(it is also a movie though on tmdb https://www.themoviedb.org/search/tv?query=burn%20the%20witch ... since we're moving to one source, maybe block one of them.. I'd say the movie version).
(it actually has Dutch titles on the EN translation pages but... yeah)
(I don't know why they're putting movies in the special section again... also on tmdb this time, sigh)
(a mod changed the dates for episode 3 and 4 wrongly and locked them... filed a report, also added missing info for later episodes and corrected some dates).
(tvdb has the 1988 series listed in the special season, while tmdb has it as it's own series - which I think isn't wrong, it was made ten years prior to the 1988 one. You don't degrade something that would originally be listed as a series, down to some special episodes
I just imported the 1988 series https://trakt.tv/shows/vampire-princess-miyu-1988 and moved my own watches over manually)
(meh, tvdb got the date wrong for the first episode, and tmdb for the episode in the middle. filed a report at tmdb. should be fixed soon, they are generally fast with these reports.)
(updated all info on tmdb)
(there's a special episode on tvdb that wouldn't be there if it weren't for me. I filed a report to get it added to tmdb too)
(someone sabotaged the airdates to match the Netflix international broadcast on tmdb. Fixed them and asked for lock.)
and please remove this already-removed-from-tmdb movie
(it's on the list to be "merged" but that list has been going on since like 2018.... can we please remove and block it from the movie section? on tvdb it's added in the special section of the 1997 series, on tmdb it's listed as its own series)
Please open a support ticket if this is still an issue including links to the Trakt listing and as many details as possible. Thanks!
See comments for details.
I moved these shows to TMDB:
- The Day I Became a God
- By the Grace of the Gods
- With a Dog AND a Cat, Every Day is Fun
- Adachi and Shimamura
- Drag Race Holland
- Burn the Witch
- Monster Girl Doctor
- Le Portrait de Petit Cossette
- Mr Love: Queen's Choice
- Drifting Dragons
- The Misfit of Demon King Academy
These shows were already moved to TMDB:
- Black Mirror
- HYPNOSISMIC -Division Rap Battle- Rhyme Anima
These shows still require data to be fixed on TMDB or TVDB before they can be moved:
- Death Note
- D4DJ: First Mix
- Kaguya-sama: Love is War
- De Luizenmoeder
- The Worst Witch
- Vampire Princess Miyu
- Kemono Michi: Rise Up
- Lapis Re:LiGHTs
Indeed the streaming version should be preferred. Normally i have a lot of trouble with movies as specials, but it might make sense in this case. After both are on TMDB and I do not see it incompatible...
Thanks for the comment. I get what you mean with some countries it being broadcast as a film. It also got a limited event release for two weeks in selected theaters in Japan that way (which is all that matters, because it's a JP production, so any other country is basically a re-airing). However, it wasn't hugely different from the split-in-three-episodes streaming version.
If anything, it could be added in the specials season.
However, since the streaming version was released on the same day [in Japan] as the limited theatrical release, I'd say the streaming version is leading. Since it's more accessible.
Thank you for the list of these different shows.
I would come back to Burn the Witch though. I don't see the problem of having a series and a film. Note that in some countries it was broadcast as a film, but in France for example (and probably elsewhere), it is a serial format broadcast that was decided.
Afterwards I may not have understood the remark very well ...
