Well, sometimes I want a recommendation for a show/movie on the bottom page...

But unfortunately, almost all the time, there's 2, 3 or maybe 4 recommendations for a future far away movie, or series.

You want put that recommendation? Ok, maybe you can create a third categorie. "Watch in your future" or put a setting to us change "how long is a near série", so i can choose to show me only next month movies, for example, or maybe a serie on the next 6 months.

The algorithm is recommending me a serie in 2021, almost a year before the launch. I'm not interested on a future far away.

There have been many times when I wonder whether to wait through the credits in the cinema to see if there is an after credits scene, or, when watching a film at home and then leaving the rolling credits on for the music whilst I rate the movie and SURPRISE! Post credits scene that I had no idea about, and I don't like thinking about how many people missed this scene because no one had an idea it existed.

I believe some feedback system where (authenticated) users can vote to say whether the movie has an after credits scene or not. I understand there is some exceptions when films have multiple after credits scenes with more credits in between them but I think maybe just a Yes or No should suffice enough to help people justify whether to wait through the credits or not.

My technical idea for this is something along the lines of.

To allow voting:
a POST request that needs to include a bearer token so that we are sure that only users with accounts can vote. Sent along with the info needed to record a vote, such as movie id and their vote (maybe YES/NO (Boolean?) What about future proofing for other voting options?)

My idea for the storage of a vote is (this is based on assumed knowledge of the current DB structure given the current API responses) a table with columns to store the userid, movieid and their vote. Which could hopefully make changing a users vote easy and avoiding double voting etc.

Fetching the votes will simply be a count of the votes for a given movie for each vote choice.

This is a very loose idea and without knowledge of the current system I can't say my suggestions/ideas are accurate.

Would love to hear reasons for/against this idea.

I would like to see an ability to pause check in and create a resume point (manually).
Example:
I start to watch an episode in the morning on my mobile and cannot finish it. In the evening I watch the started episode on my media center at home and I wish there is a resume point. Media centers would do this for me, but Netflix and other VOD Apps doesn‘t offer trakt integration. So it would be useful to do this by myself.

Maybe an (optional) automatic check in when using „watch now“ would be useful, too

WatchList style will make it really nice and easy to decide what show to continue watch.

Current progress page only shows 3 shows on landing page or 4 if scrolled down. Proposed one will show a lot of shows on a single page!

I am reposting it with a proper title to know what other trakt users will think about this idea.
Because i honestly feel like ton of people would appreciate this change if it gets implemented. I also wanted to get an direct answer from Justin about the plan because he never replied in original thread.

I love trakt. And I love TMDB. I contribute a lot to TMDB and think it is much better of a site and a community and more user friendly than TVDB. I understand that TVDB probably has a more comprehensive database for series compared to TMDB (I think TV shows are only a fairly recent addition to TMDB). However, contributing to TVDB is much more arduous than to TMDB, especially when it comes to getting incorrect data changed. The TVDB forum is fairly dead and slow to respond, me as a user have no idea if they keep track of our contributions.

Anyway, is there any reason why Trakt doesn't use episode information (especially air dates) from TMDB if they don't exist on it's respective entry on TVDB? Could this happen (any time soon- i.e. in the next couple of years)?
