Episode sharing or watched movie on twitter or other social networks manually, without being tied to check in or media center. It would be much more practical to leave configured to share on twitter every time you add a play manually.1 vote
No plans to do this since it would be very easy to spam social networks. Manual plays can be added very easily in bulk so it isn’t really a real time action for sharing like this.
Twitter integration for "Add to Watched History"
Is there a way this is to be implemented. When you add a show/movie to watch history, to post a tweet on your profile like "I just watched Venom" - something like that.
I only saw the option for check-ins.
Or maybe I missed something in the Settings?
Can you help? Thanks in advance.3 votes
Unfortunately we don’t plan to do this since it would very easily spam your watches. We only enable this for checkins and scrobbles so it only shares what you are watching right now.
I don't activate the sharing on TV Episode because it would spam my followers if i bingewatch something but it would be nice if i could share that i finished a season, as a season takes more time to complete, it won't spam my twitter.3 votes
Unfortunately the data accuracy is not high enough to determine the end of the season. Episodes are added as the season airs, so the “last” episode keeps changing throughout the year for most shows.
Hey, I would love to see a direct link to the matching Letterboxd page for movies under the overview links on the left side on each movie page, ideally between TMDB and Fanart.tv like here https://trakt.tv/movies/blade-runner-2049-20173 votes
We don’t share manual watches since there is the possibility to spam your social feeds. For example, if you add an entire show or season, that is a lot of episodes and we don’t want to share all of them.
I recommend checking in to what you’re watching which will can be shared with your social networks.
When I rate a movie here I use a scale from 1 to 10, and when the rating is automatically reshared to Facebook it is converted in a scale from 1 to 5.
If I rate a movie 5/10 on FB it shows 3/5 and I think this is not right... 5/10 is usually intended as not sufficient, so it would be more correct to translate it into 2/5.1 vote
This is actually calculated by facebook. We send the rating on a 10 point scale and facebook is converting that to their own 5 point scale. It seems the do a simple round up.
fix the issues with sync in genesis for pregress and episodes. use to be all in one. now my shows are split between the two. sucks. and i cant rtemove stuff from the website. come on man.1 vote
Genesis is a 3rd party plugin that we don’t develop. I would recommend reaching out to them directly if you are having issues.
The ability to share the movie/tv show to your facebook and twitter, when you mark a movie or tv show as seen.
Now, it only shares it when you finish via media player or by scrobbling, but not when marking it seen. This should be fixed.6 votes
The main reason we don’t do this is because marking things as seen is usually done in bulk by a media center sync or marking and entire show. We don’t want to flood social networks with that amount of data.
I would like to be the integration site - vk.com
for the same functionality as facebook56 votes
Every time i reopen my browser i have to log into Trakt with my google account.
It may be my local problem, but i don't have this problem with any other website.6 votes
I can’t reproduce this issue.

Not currently planned since Trakt.tv ratings are pretty relevant with so many votes now.
Please make check-in comments more visible (or treat them like shouts or something). That way people are more likely to add comments to other people's check-ins and also encourages more to add text in the first place which should increase user interaction. Compared to trakt, Beamly and others TVTag has/had an INSANE level of user interaction. Bein able to easily add comments to anyone's check-ins should increase that, otherwise this will only happen when someone decides to shout, which isn't enough, because why bother? If compatible with trakt, achievements for checking in (just a status change like fan/superfan/.... would be enough) that are visible to the community would also motivate a fraction of people who don't check in via scrobbling. Please make it possible to like replies!

Extension for youtube.
Some shows (e.g. Angry Videogame Nerd) are avaliable directly from youtube.
And there's lastfm scrobbler for youtube. I think it's possible to make trakt scrobbler for youtube with extensions of rating and other.20 votes
i would like to be able to post what i am watching to google+. is this planned at all for the future of the service?1 vote
As of now it’s not supported by their API, but we will add it when we can.
Request to implement a feature that lets you choose not to send web notifications to facebook etc. when rewatching something.4 votes
Is there any chance we can get a widget that is text only? For example it may say something along the lines of '[Username] last watched... Smallville - 3x09 - "Asylum" via Trakt'... Or something along those lines.
The main reason for asking is that I know of certain forums where images are disabled in signatures, so it's a good way to still show off what it is you are watching still, and continue to spread the Trakt name.1 vote

Trakt currently has a setting that automatically shares ratings to Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr, but I only want to manually share specific ratings instead of sharing all of them as they happen. We already have this functionality for checking in, so would it be possible to apply this to ratings as well?3 votes
Not planned right now since adding an additional step to the rating process is not ideal.
I would like to see a option directly after my rating asking me if i want to post or not on my connected social media (twitter, facebook).
Sometimes i start watching a movie but after 20 minutes i shut it of because it's bad. Then i don't want to tell my friend that i've seen the movie. :)3 votes
With twitter, you can choose to share after you’ve watched the movie.
Why can't my shared movies show up on my timeline? As for now i can just see it in my userlog or activitylog. I have to manually change it to allow on timeline for it to show up.3 votes
Yes, the display is up to facebook unfortunately. We are looking for a better way to force it on your timeline, but for the most part that is up to facebook and not us.
