Import from IMDb
It would be nice if there would be a function to import my imdb watchlist into trakt, so I don't have to do all movies manually

I have voted for hundreds of movies and tv shows. I will not use trakt, if a have to do it again manually.
Is there any update on this? I see these ideas have been sitting here for a long time now!

i see that this question has 4 years old but i still can't find an answer. anyone knows if this is solved yet? can IMDb users import their database to Trakt already?
On Mac, I found this Ruby script to be super helpful. I had completed my import from start to finish in about 5 minutes. https://github.com/yulrizka/trakt-imdb-importer
Hey. I wrote a little script for this purpose. Try it out: https://github.com/StegSchreck/RatS
I'd also vote for a sync feature
Yep, really need something like this. I have half my watched/rating stuff on IMDB and half on trakt. Would be great to have this merged on trakt
Many thanks, @justin! It worked :)

@Miki check out the first bullet point under Usage on https://github.com/damienhaynes/TraktRater, it has a tip to run this on OSX.
@ltfearme: Thanks for creating TraktRater.
Can it be installed on Mac?
I only see an .exe file on the github page.
@fred: There is a trakt list addin for kodi (in the official repo even), although not that stable.
Yes, I agree... I found this by searching on Google to find out if there is a way...
IMDB is way, way better than Trakt for FINDING movies, plus you can see trailers, so it's a great way to find stuff, but I need Trakt's custom lists in Kodi... THE reason I use Trakt.
Really would like to import tv shows watchlist into trakt to make them available on android using kodi. Trakt currently will not import imdb using neither the rss nor the exported csv.
Sadly android users cannot use TraktRater.
Equally unfortunate the kodi Genesis addon has ceased to import tv shows. It only does movies.
Watchlist is for items you intend to watch in the future and not something you have already seen.

I figured a way out to move my watchlist to history faster..
Quickly rate your entries in your imdb watchlist.
Now you can import them straight to the history list with TraktRater.
Not a fix, but certainly faster than one by one and putting clicking on releasedate.

I transferred my watchlist to trakt.
The thing is that is is now a list, an not marked as seen...
I would need to mass update the status of the movies to seen.
And not one by one with "watched at releasedate".
It takes forever, I have 1000+ entries.
@Glenn 'devalias' Grant, you can use the TraktRater app to import your IMDb Watchlist to Trakt. I will support custom lists in the future.

It would be cool to be able to sync lists from my IMDB account to Trakt.
I realise they don't have an official API, so 2 way sync probably wouldn't really be achievable, but it would be cool to be able to pull updates to my favourite actors list, or add things to my trakt watchlist that I add add to watchlist on IMDB.
Issue is with trakt, the servers are very unstable atm.
Tried out your app. Error (502): Bad Gateway.
Then tried out with CSVs. Literally only 3/734 movies were added to trakt. Everything else failed.
