Translate website, movies, and shows to other languages
It would be really nice, if you let people translate the website but that's not so important for me...
but i found that the movie titles are only the english ones, for example the movie "the inbetweeners" is in german "sex on the beach" and so i couldn't find it first because i didn't know that!

It seems like trakt development is dead unfortunately. Nothing of importance have been done in more than five years.

Would it be possible to translate the app into Spanish? It would certainly gain many users

Got problem with translation to polish. How to put back show in "progress" when it was hidden for some time? I want to see Young &hungry again there, because there is a few new episodes after long break. Anyone?

Why doesn't trakt.tv integrate with TMDB or something like that to have the localized titles? Many apps does this but not native trakt.tv.

I’ve done some translation from english to swedish and ok norwegian. But Im no good in programing like Swift, ruby, and so on. IF someone can provide a simple program for tv text then I think there are many who can join in

In addition to the greasemonkey script below by Quicks, I've recently released a new version of trakttvstats chrome extension, with some improvements to the automatic titles/synopsis translation and posters/backdrop localization :

well.. as trakt.tv seem not to wanna do this in near future, i wrote a greasemonkey/tampermonkey script to at least show localized movie titles...
you can't search with localized title, but movies (not tv shows so war) are simply displayed in your preferd language...
anybody interested? -

I'm pretty sure "translatewiki.net" can be used for this

When making this feature, can you please think about people who know more than one language and let them choose to "keep original language" or "select languages [+default when original is not in the selected list]"
Being a french understanding English and (partially) German, it can be very annoying to see films/titles translated (poorly) from one language to the other. And by seeing the number of not native English speakers on the site, I think I'm not the only one with this issue.
From experience, I know these examples :
- not native English speakers who use English in their everyday life
- People who watch a lot of anime and learned Japanese that way/in the mean time
- People who have bilingual families or live in bilingual countries
- People who want to see the art as it was made and not how someone transposed it to an other culture (official translation often alter jokes and references to the local culture, a well know example is Captain America's bucket list in the Marvel movie) -
