How can we improve Trakt.tv?

TV Show "Release date" errors

There is a TVDB bug where a show's start date is not being pulled from the date of the first episode

so on Trakt if you sort a watchlist by "Release date" you get a load of shows listed at the top of the list which have no date.

Some of them have no start date as they haven't been announced which is fair enough, but others have begun and are running now, or even finished their season.

i've spotted references to it on the TVDB forums referring to a bug that is not updating the Release Date to the first aired date of the first episode.

Is there any way Trakt can switch their listed "Release date" to use the first aired date of the first episode. rather than the broken "release date" of the TVBD

tvdb forum referenses to the bug:

We actually use the first aired from TMDB by default, then fall back to TVDB.

I also pushed an update so that it will calculate the year and first aired based on episode 1×01 to help fill in any missing data.
