Wow thank you! I removed all the invalid entries except for the 3 extended editions of the original trilogy. Those entries have a lot of data on them and I want to keep them around until we figure out a solution to tracking “editions” more effectively.

I believe I have some more to add to the list.
And in the process I have an idea of how to deal with extended editions or directors cuts without all of the inaccuracy and multiple editions.

I looked up the contribution bible on TMDB and it seems as you are correct for what I mentioned as well. It is a shame that there is no way to keep track of any studio released extended editions or directors cuts.

Not sure how you mean, but this list do include all extended editions, and these sorts of releases do not have a home on TMDB (and therefore not on Trakt either). Official (re)releases or not, they are the same movie and are only allowed one entry according to current guidelines.
