Calendar - Hide Watchlist
It would be great to be able to hide from calendar shows I plan to watch, but not watching right now, IMO that's just excess information.

I think they are saying series that they want to watch at some point, but aren't keeping up with. Personally, I just put those shows in a wishlist.

You absolutely misunderstood how this works. If you are watching eg. How I Met Your Mother which is aired every Tuesday but today is Wednesday you do NOT mark it as "currently watching", because you are NOT watching an episode of that show right now!
What you mean is "Follow up", which means you still like to watch episodes of that show now and then.
There is already a "Follow up" feature. It's called the "Watchlist"!
To be honest it is completely useless to have your calendar filled with airing dates of episodes / movies you are actually watching right now. For what do you need an calendar entry if you are sitting in front of a display actually watching that episode / movie?
The calendar is for you to know when movies / episodes you like to watch are aired, so you don't miss them! -
