Schedule movie refreshes
Unlike TV shows it seems to me that movies never get a refresh from the backend, at least I'm always finding outdated records. It would be great if the movies also got the occasional refresh. Doesn't need to be daily or weekly but at least every few months imho.
The nightly process is updated and should be much more reliable with pulling in the complete data during a refresh. I found a few issues with rate limiting that seemed to be affecting things.
Just checking back on some list entries I must say I don't think much has changed when it comes to reliable "regular" updates - be it image refreshes or content. I know you have to crawl through a lot of data but maybe you can bump "popular"/actively used items more to the top? (talking half a year old changes)
Thank you justin :)!
It's quite plausible that those ended shows did not get any changes so that would make sense. It's just that they never got the artwork initially as you did not scrape the 720p one from TVDB at the time.
Is the last change date relevant for movies as well? It wouldn't be surprising to me if the amount of movies to update just result in those changes to be considered too old (even if you do match them)?
It's hard to find obvious examples but here are some more if you want to look into it (given that the ones below have been updated):

Update on TMDB 07/03/15
Ended shows should still get refreshed unless TMDB/TVDB stops indicating the data has changed? I think the update procedure must be failing or skipping some items in our nightly process.
I know that the samples below are now all changed but given the massive delays I still think there is something wrong :).
Also it would be great if "ended" shows still get the occasional refresh. A lot of pre-720p-fallback-from-TVDB shows have still not pulled their artwork.
Bump - seems to be affecting a lot of movies. With the focus on backdrops with the new advanced search it's especially noticeable.
Some upcoming ones:
http://trakt.tv/movies/colossal not the correct release date, changed 10/28/15
http://trakt.tv/movies/valencia-2016 not the correct release date, 11/16/15 (might be a bit close)
http://trakt.tv/movies/the-accountant not the correct release date, changed 05/21/15
http://trakt.tv/movies/alien-5-2017 retitled, changed 07/29/15
Okey, I never noticed that tbh (for upcoming movies and old ones the like).
Some examples from a list where I did some manual syncs just recently that never got the changes from TMDB (at least the artwork which is my easiest indication):
http://trakt.tv/movies/yume-no-kayoiji-2013 made the changes @08/25/15
http://trakt.tv/movies/my-love-story changes and some more @08/25/15, 10/24/15,
Searched for others that were still not up to date data wise too to make sure that it wasn't just the images:
http://trakt.tv/movies/parasyte-part-2-1969 did actually have all data but no backdrop but the language is stuck in "English" but it's "Japanese" on TMDB? Are you going by "Original title language" too?
http://trakt.tv/movies/strobe-edge-1969 Genres were "Comedy" "Romance" and no backdrop. Genre change was from 09/28/15
http://trakt.tv/movies/shinjuku-swan-1969 no backdrop, wrong runtime (default). Changes from 08/01/15.
Movies do nightly refreshes too, looks like about 1000 get queued each night. My guess is this could be a cache issue with the refresh being queued, but cached data being returned from TMDB and nothing gets updated on our side. Just a guess.
